LONDON2012 GAMES - ‘FAIR AND REASONABLE' EAST OF ENGLAND
Tourism businesses in the East of England are being urged to sign up to the Fair Price Charter for the region which has just been launched by East of England Tourism.
Major global events such as the London2012 Games offer both opportunities and challenges for tourism businesses. Businesses need to maximise profitability - but not at the cost of the region's longer-term reputation. And, of course, visitors expect value for money and reassurance that the price they pay up front will not be compromised by late discounting.
The Fair Price Charter will allow decision makers to identify accommodation providers and venues in the East of England who have made a firm commitment to reasonable and fair trading terms in 2012.
The Fair Price Charter is recognised, endorsed and promoted by EET, LOCOG (London2012 Organising Committee of the Olympic Games), VisitBritain and the BHA (British Hospitality Association). Accomodation providers and venues can sign up now, by going to www.eet.org.uk/fpc.
